The Commission Artifacts lets you ask a local artisan to craft an item whose type you choose, but has some caveats when compared to those crafted by inspired people. While you can extend the lifespan of important items by only wearing them when you really need their bonuses, the Antiquarian can help you reforge, repair, or even commission artifacts.Ī shortcut in the top left corner of the inventory screen's main window lets you easily access your current Antiquarian or recruit one, if the position happens to be empty. The artifacts your ruler wears lose durability over time, as opposed to those displayed in the court. Having a claim on an artifact allows characters to duel for it, declare war, or attempt to steal it.
An artifact's history, bonuses, and durability can be reviewed in its details screen, where you'll also find the list of characters with claims to it.
